Artist Bio
Anthony Theakston is a ceramic artist whose practice is rooted in both traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design. He studied ceramics for six years, graduating with an Honours Degree from Bristol before completing a Master of Arts in Ceramic Design at Cardiff in 1990. Following his studies, he lectured for five years at Camberwell College of Arts and Falmouth School of Art while establishing himself as a studio ceramicist. In 1991, he was selected as a member of the Crafts Council, leading to opportunities to exhibit internationally at major events including gift fairs in New York and San Francisco.
