Biography Eithne Roberts
Born in Co. Dublin and graduated with a B. A. (hons) in Fine Art I have been exhibiting on a regular basis throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe, since early 2008. First studying ceramics in college I came to painting when I used my small ceramic creations as the main subjects if this new work. Since those 1st paintings more still life objects and motifs have appeared on a continuous basis in my work, although the shape of the first bowls are never far away. These are painted with a palette knife, harking back to my days working with clay, where the feel and the physicality of the material is at the forefront of my interest.
Recently, I have relocated to live and work in the northwest of Ireland where the abundance of wildflowers is an unending source of material for new work.
My work is held in private collections in Ireland the UK and worldwide.
